Meet Our Dental Care Team
Kim CDA, EFDA
Kim has been a dental assistant for 42 years. Her journey into the realm of Dentistry began as an eleven year old with decay in her first molars. The dentist who performed the procedure had an assistant who talked her through having her first molars pulled, by promising to stay with her and help her through the appointment as much as possible. The compassionate assistant influenced her so much that she decided to pursue a career as a Dental assistant so that she could comfort patients who did not understand, were scared, or just needed a diversion during their dental treatment.
Kim graduated from Olney Central College, in Olney Illinois with a certificate in Dental Assisting in 1976 and passed the National Board examination in June of that same year. Her 42 year long career has taken her through many continuing education opportunities such as Coronal Polishing and Caries Prevention Procedures. In 2009 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from IUPUI.
When Kim is not tending to patients, she is with her husband Jim fishing, spending time with family, or taking road trips.
Madeline is a 2017 graduate from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Her interest and passion for dentistry was first sparked from a personal experience in which her smile was forever changed. This confidence boost and background in the sciences pushed her to pursue a career in dentistry.
Madeline started at Paradox dental as an intern, but moved up as a dental assistant as she realized she loved learning more about patients, staff, and procedures. Although she loves her Paradox family, she plans to attend the IU school of dentistry so she too can offer patients the opportunity to change their lives with dentistry.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dog Willow and cat Benjamin. She also loves spending time with her family and going on kayaking trips.
